Trilla Writes: Zylofon Media Is Gradually Transforming The Entertainment Industry However Lynx Entertainment Deserves Commendation For Its Impeccability.

I see myself to be an itinerant writer because I always carry my assets (brains and phone) with me everywhere I go. It has been a minute I shared my indelible opinion on issues even though I have been blogging more lately.

Per a critical observation and putting on my thinking cap, I decided to get weed and liquor beside me and then write this piece because it seems no one is unraveling the truth (by the way I don’t drink and smoke…I was just kidding). “Nipa y3 ade3 aaa )s3 ayeyi”, this is an old adage which simply means  give credit to where credit is due (my own translation…I hope you barb).

In view of the above I decided to gravitate towards that direction and shower praises on Lynx Entertainment for its wonderful efforts. Now get a drink and cross your legs whiles I take you on a smooth flight to my world.

My Story With Lynx Entertainment

I have always had a penchant for music since the 80’s (In Psycho’s Voice) therefore I decided to make strides to make my dreams a reality by being a music producer, songwriter and artist. Fortunately when I was 18, my elder brother, Flexy (formerly of Yfm and ETV) introduced me to Richie and Albert (Richie’s brother) of Lynx Entertainment because he knew my love for music was on the high like a Jamaican.

This was an opportunity so I had to grab it like an egg and make good use of it. Richie was the hottest producer at the time because his productions were out there….challey different “style”. He had produced songs like Gimme Blow, Frema, Gologolo, etc so that short man was known…lol.

I had a rudimentary knowledge regarding music production and how things work in the studio at Lynx. Unfortunately since he was prodigious at the time, he did not have enough time for moi due to limited time he had so I had to learn the hard way. I can be in the studio alone and be working on some beats…(I did not even know what I was doing…lol) sometimes he will come and touch it to make it sound nice. Fortunately I had the chance to meet some stars, Asem, Irene Logan, Tinny, OJ Blaq and many others.

Zylofon Media

The music industry lacked investors and we were crying river for help because we wanted to see it grow. Lo and behold Zylofon Media came from nowhere and has now solidified its name not only in the music industry but the entertainment industry as a whole.

I quite remember when the conglomerate came afresh a lot of people unnecessarily and hastily chastised them and I was like Goddammit…what the herk? I am highly elated that Zylofon Media was tenacious by shutting them up with its doings because they were “parroting”.

Candidly I never dreamt of seeing this transformation anytime soon so the whole activities by Zylofon Media look like a dream to me…My girlfriend should magnanimously wake me up to face the reality…lol. The transformation is gradually becoming prodigious and I am sure it has won itself a hefty following.

The team deserves great plaudits for their execution because it is evident that they had a plan and they are implementing it “perfectly perfecto”. From signing of artists and actors to acquisitions, challey   Zylofon Media is up and running.  I am in my suit with my arms folded waiting patiently for more surprises. Zylofon Media is contributing its quota in order to make the industry better however industry players have failed in lauding the efforts of Lynx Entertainment.

Efforts Of Lynx Entertainment

Lynx Entertainment emerged somewhere around 2008 (the year it gained eminence…I stand to be corrected though) and has been on inclination year in year out. It is clearly evident that the team planned before breaking the rigid glass covering the music industry.

Back in the day, the only camp that recruited and trained artists was The Last Two which is owned by the legendary music producer, Da Hammer. Hammer camped the boys and showcased them to music lovers. After the grooming and all, they had to face the world on their own, simply put they graduated so they had to move on. Hammer’s effort has been lauded in the past for such an impeccable move and since then nobody has been able to replicate that.

Lynx Entertainment has over the past few years unearthed a plethora of talents…Asem, OJ Blaq, Eazzy, Chase, Zigi and MzVee. Now Lynx has used its magic wand on the new generation…Kuami Eugene and Kidi who were both part of MTN Hitmaker.

Lynx Entertainment turns artists into gold and they become easily accepted. Well fortunately I met the team whiles I was there and challey trust me, they work very hard. It’s been a while so I don’t know if they have new team members but candidly Lynx has been impressive.

I have heard a lot of people say there is no record label in Ghana but this argument is for another day. Lynx Entertainment is the only record label in Ghana that has unearthed a lot of talents and then turn them into stars and this is verifiable. If you want to debate with me on this, you can get a transformer and hug…lol.

Hammer did unearth talents agreed, but Lynx unearthed and managed the artists for years and the artists were consistent year in year out undoubtedly. Lynx Entertainment has been superb but it is quite surprising no one is even showering praises on the label. Another difference is Hammer’s camp was more of a school and not a record label…Get It.

We have seen artists come out with one or two hits and then vanish into thin air. Have you asked yourself why these things happen? Not that they are not talented, they are…but it depends on the efforts of the team behind the artists. It is difficult to breakthrough but it is more difficult to sustain yourself in the music industry.

Lynx has incessantly shown that it is capable over the past few years. It has placed its magic hands on Kuami Eugene and Kidi and now the two are untouchable. They are gradually solidifying their presence in the industry. They both have the hottest songs out there now, Angela which belongs to Kuami Eugene and Odo by Kidi.

Albeit the misunderstandings Lynx had with some of its artists in the past, it has still been tremendous. The team members know how to play their cards well.  We are hoping that in the future, Zylofon Media moves on the same tangent.
