Agric Song Competition Launched

The initiative which is designed to become an annual feature in Ghana's entertainment space seeks to whip up the interest of Ghanaian youth in agriculture with the overall objective of encouraging youth participation in the agriculture space.
Participants are expected to submit a song on the importance of agriculture for national development. Shortlisted contestants will be interviewed and given the opportunity to perform their songs to a judging panel where a winner will be declared.
The total prize package for the competition which is valued at GHC 40,000 include an artiste management contract, a recording deal, video shoots, a nationwide tour and a one year agriculture advocacy ambassador role
Speaking to the Head of Marketing of Agric TV, Mr Kojo Essuon, he explained that, the Agric Song Competition is one of the innovative projects line up by Agric TV to compliment government's agro renaissance call to ensure that the agriculture sector becomes a key driver of Ghana's economy and also ensure food sufficiency.
The project is endorsed by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture and supported by stepford multimedia, Wedo group, Tubhani Muzik, stockrush Ghana limited, Urban Live and Delmark sheabutter.
