Shirley Frimpong-Manso Reveals It Will Cost $5Million To Produce A Kwame Nkrumah Movie

CEO of Sparrow Productions and film director, Shirley Frimpong-Manso has disclosed that for her to produce a movie regarding Ghana’s first president, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the cost will be $5million.

She made this revelation in an interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat yesternight. There have been movies about some great African leaders but none has been made about the great leader, Kwame Nkrumah.

Shirley indicated that she will love to tell Nkrumah’s story to the world but money is the barrier. In order for her to produce that, she will have to spend $5million.

Shirley changed the face of the movie industry with her expertise and she got all the praises for her effort. She had a penchant for movies when she was in high school but found herself behind the cameras astonishingly.

She added that her favourite artists in Ghana are Amakye Dede, Efya and Sarkodie.

We hope that the government of Ghana, Corporate Ghana and other stakeholders can assist her to produce an Nkrumah movie. It will definitely be one of the best movies to come from Ghana with such a budget.
